Switch off power next to the volume button...

I can not stop my self from writing this.
This time Logiteh with Microsoft invented a very smart keyboard design. They placed the power off button next to the volume button.

The possibility od adjusting you volume level should be quick and easy!
So again in case you are conecntrated on your work, and you dont need to look at your keyboard all the time, plus being an experienced designer you work with shortcust, this is where Microsoft shows you the middle finger. If you would like to increase the volume you have to press function key + f11/volume key and your finger slips few mm your work since the last time you pressed ctrl+s is gone...

gone..

Great design!

Mac is so much worse, all you need to do is press one key on the keybaord or preset the f keys...In case you want to turn of your computer you simply have to perform some actions that allow you to do this conciously. Mac is so much worse than Windows! Just one button to turn of you computer?? Just one?????

Making a screenshot is easy?

Making screenshots on a Windows is so much easyer than on a Mac, there is so much more steps you have to take! To have a Windows screenshot you have to do the following: press ctrl + the screenshot button (good luck finding it on your keyboard, as usually that key is for two functions). When you were lucky enough to find that "Print Scr (whatever that means)" key now you have to find the function key. After doing an acrobatic trick with your fingers - of course WIndows was so smart to place those keys not next to each other but all over the keybaord. If you would like to already work with your screenshot - nope not yet! Now you have to open Photoshop (wait until it's opened), than create a new file, than press ctrl+v, than wait...than save... Thank God Windows cares about saving our time!

Mac is so much worse, all you have to press is apple+shift+3 (the position of these keays matches you fingers position) and voila! your screenshot is waiting for you on your desctop beeing ready to use by ANY programme!

Windows is so much better and faster! As alwyas well done Microsoft!

Good luck when you need to make for ex. 50 screenshots!

no fonts

So..

I turn on the Pc, I turn on InDesign, I open a file that I already worked on...

and what?

Suddenly Windows disabled fonts I've been using everyday. Which means, again instead of working I have to find out how to fix this magical disappearing.

Great job Windows - fail as always...

Windows keybboard

After experiencing a system crash on my 3 month old i7 PC, after not edlivering work on time, after spending 2 days installing everything, copying files, after finally beeing able to work...

of course Windows had a surprise for me. Annoying circle effects that appear when you clickw ith the Wacom pen are back. Which means I again cant work for the time I have to fix that crap. I dont k now why WIndows assumes I dont know where I want to click, or when I click I am not aware of where. Thanks Windows for thinking I am stupid;/.

So finally when I can work again, and while renaming a file - suddenly my keyboards change.

Great job Windows as always!

Wacom drivers?

Windows is just great! When you restart your pc (because you of course have to after it dies for no reason)and you would like to have you Wacom Tablet drivers working immediatly with the start of the system - be prepared that it will not happen, and that you will have to wait another 3 minutes for the drivers to start working.

SO if you only use a Tablet (like many tablet users do) you are screwed - because for those few minutes while WIndows is trying to start working you can't do anything!

Mac is so much worse, the drivers just work automatically and the same with all applications.

Finding files in Windows 7?

OK with this subject Windows 7 crawled out from beneath the rock, and actually gives you an option to browse files when you dont know where they are - or you dont want to waste a whole afternoon trying to find out when is this one file from a million you use in your work. But, because it's Windows nothing can't be easy - if you type in/copy paste the name of the file in the feald above the Windows /start button you might get info that it does not exist. Wat you have to do is open a new Browser window - and than select the partition/usb stick/external disc you want to browse. After this unnecessary time taking step ( what if you have more than one external disc?) you see the file - but not there yet. If you actually want to see where it is - you have to right click, "locate file" and than....

Yes Mac is so much worse, it's so annoying to only have to press "apple+space" and immediatly see the file where it is and have it all nicely visually sorted...
